The programme will run online, by our network of European innovation partner institutions. Cohort dates are:

Smart Cities: January - May 2026
Net Zero Cities : February – June 2026

Regenerative Cities: March - July 2026

Do you consider your company to be female-founded?

For the purposes of processing your application to the ACCEND Horizon programme, the data collected will be company data as requested on the application form.
Who we are
The ACCEND programme is delivered by a consortium of partners who act as joint data controllers under UK GDPR and EU GDPR. Each partner is committed to processing your data lawfully, fairly, and transparently. Partners are detailed here
Data Security
Data will be kept securely and protected from unauthorised access, use or disclosure in accordance with applicable data protection laws and the Horizon Europe grant agreement. None of the ACCEND consortium partners will sell, rent, trade or otherwise knowingly share or provide your personal information to any third party, except insofar as legally obliged to do so or as specified below.
How we will use your information
Your data will be used for the following purposes:
Contractual obligation:
We process your personal data to assess and process your application for participation in the ACCEND Programme and to communicate with you regarding your application as you are applying to participate in the ACCEND Programme.
Legitimate interest:
We will anonymise your application data for programme monitoring, evaluation and reporting. We may also use it for audit verification purposes as required by Horizon Europe. It is in the legitimate interest of Horizon Europe to provide governance over the ACCEND programme.
Consent:
If you have provided consent, we may send you marketing information for any future programmes.
Data sharing
For the purposes of processing the application, data will not be shared with any third parties although it will be shared among the partners within the ACCEND consortium.
Your Rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:-

• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request erasure (where applicable)
• Object to or restrict processing
• Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority

Retention
For successful applicants we will retain your data for the duration of your participation in the programme and for a subsequent 5 years for audit and tracking purposes.
For unsuccessful applicants, we will retain your data for 12 months after the conclusion of the application process unless a longer period is required for compliance and monitoring purposes.
